Benefits and Examples of Daily Affirmations

We talk to ourselves every single day, but what many take for granted are the benefits of adding positive affirmations to our daily self-interactions. Before we explore these benefits, however, let’s analyze ways we discuss amongst ourselves. What are we regularly saying to ourselves? Is it good, bad or indifferent? All too often this internal dialogue is not the most positive or doesn’t serve you to show up as your best self. This is where powerful daily affirmations can create a huge wave of momentum and make sure you are changing that narrative. I coach all my clients to develop and employ daily affirmations for the following reasons.

Improve Health

Studies have proven over the years that people who think positively feel better and live longer to those who don’t. Powerful daily affirmations let you choose what you want to think and how you feel. One of my favorite quotes by Lao Tzu is “Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny”. All of that started with your thoughts, and Tzu’s quote gives a fantastic perspective into why daily affirmations are important to not only our well-being and character, but also to our future endeavors.

Increase Confidence

Hard wiring begins before you have a long-term memory. Some of those hard wires are positive and others negative. Positive affirmations help to create the best version of yourself and disregard the self-limiting beliefs that others have put upon you. Tell yourself that you are confident, strong, and capable and you are much more likely to embody those beliefs. Hard wires were put in place over many years, so it won’t happen overnight, but the daily practice will eventually win out.

Inspire You

The definition of affirmation is the assertion that something exists or is true. Positive affirmations help us focus on the good in our lives instead of the negative. Failure no longer exists but rather is a chance to learn and try new things. We all want to be inspired in life, why not do it for yourself. Create your powerful daily affirmations today and inspire yourself and those around you by showing up as the best version of you.

Examples of Positive Affirmations:

  • I am strong, I am confident, I am capable.
  • My body is healthy; my mind is brilliant; my soul is tranquil.
  • Positivity is a choice; I choose to be positive.
  • I am happy, I am generous, I am successful.
